Today’s victories.

I addressed a work conflict without exacerbating the situation OR minimizing the negative affect it had on me, and it was well received.

A few weeks ago I went to Whole Foods looking for Halloumi cheese so I could make this for dinner. When I asked the man at the cheese counter for some, he said he had never heard of the stuff, and could I describe it? So, I did and he in turn got snotty and informed me that Whole Foods doesn’t carry highly processed cheese, and I would be better off going to Wal-Mart. I explained to him that Halloumi isn’t highly processed, though I refrained from telling him that the fact that he had never heard of frying cheese meant that he was unqualified to work in a cheese department, because I’m classy like that. Today, I went back and happened to notice a display of Halloumi. I asked Amy, the cheese lady, (also Snarky Cheese Guy’s supervisor) if they had just started carrying it. She said no, they always do, since it’s “such a common cheese,” then, “I hope no one gave you the impression OTHERWISE.” I shrugged and when she pressed me for details I told her about the interaction and she gave me a discount.

I planned my spring and summer garden and ordered all my seeds.

Though I’m not pleased that I’ll be inconvenienced for a few days, my landlord is having our plumbing redone, meaning that the frequent (though very minor) inconveniences we’ve been experiencing will be a thing of the past.

I’m wearing a new bra, and damn if my boobs don’t look amazing.
